Vista de SarchiOur Vista de Sarchi project is an ecology friendly development targeted to the family looking for a second house or the couple that is looking to retire in a safe and natural environment. We are building a gated community with 9 quality houses about 5 minutes from Sarchi, the furniture capital of Costa Rica. Our master plan calls for the construction of 9 custom built homes, a caretaker’s home and a secure gated community. The beauty of this development is that one side of the hill has views all the way to Cartago. From the front side of the property, you can see Alajuela, the airport and all of the pueblos in-between all of the way to San Jose. From the front of the property you can see four volcanoes, Grecia, Alajuela, the airport, San Jose, Escazu, Santa Ana and all the way to Cartago. Here is a sample of the view on the front side. .
Our community is being built inside a working coffee farm. We have two water canals that not only provide irrigation water but the wonderful quieting sounds of a small river. On the back side, there is the water canal, fantastic views of the valleys and mountains of Los Robles and Naranjo in the background and it backs up to a river. One side offers the city lights while the other side offers pristine secluded views of the tranquil valleys. Here is the view of the back side looking into the hills of Sabinilla and Los Robles.
Our coffee farm also has platanos, guavas, guayabas, mangos, oranges, lemons, grapefruits and other native trees. This diverse combination attracts wildlife like squirrels, all kinds of birds, beautiful butterflies, parakeets and even lightening bugs. When completed, the highest point on the property will have a 360° views from a Rancho where you can come to sit and relax, have a picnic and a barbecue for yourself or your guests. The walking trails will go all the way down to the river and will have tables and benches for picnics and general relaxation. Don Bernardo is our resident caretaker and also partakes in the coffee harvest.
All of the houses will be built to high end US standards including real tile roofs, quality granite kitchen counters and marble for the bathrooms. Each house will have solar water heating, the appliances you are accustomed to having like a dishwasher and garbage disposal. We are also adding generator ready electrical systems, provisions for phone lines, alarm systems, intercom and internet systems to each house. The property is being developed with a community in mind where all of the houses, while unique all blend into the environment. Custom Homes: If you want to build a custom home in our development, you must use our Architectural services and our buildings. Your design must blend in with the other homes and be built to a similar quality and safety level. For example no rusty tin roofs! Since we are maintaining the country farm atmosphere, you will not have a large area outside of your building pad unless it meets our architectural standards. Acceptable areas include small terraces, decks etc. but do not allow for swimming pools (Jacuzzis are ok). Take a look at our Vista de las luces for more information. |
